Yet another illustration of Narcissus pseudonarcissus, commonly known as wild daffodil, this one by Antoine du Pinet, Sieur de Norroy (c. 1515-1584). It was included in an album to celebrate Louise of Lorraine's arrival in France to marry Henri III.
About Antoine du Pinet, I have been able to discover very little. His Historia plantorum condensed the work of Andrea Mattioli into a pocket-size handbook, one of the earliest in that format.
